In his research, he focuses on political and security discourse on forced displacement and displaced people.

Artem Graban is a PhD student in the „Valuing Refugee Policy” project. He obtained a master degree in Security Studies from the Military University of Technology in Warsaw. He stayed as a guest researcher at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center (Migration, Integration, Transnationalization Research Unit) and the University of Sarajevo (Faculty of Political Sciences).

His research focuses on identities and power relations in politics and international relations. At a theoretical level, he is working with securitization, and other forms of politicization, through speech acts, institutions, policies and practice. His methodology includes critical discourse analysis, content analysis and ethnographic tools like interviews and observations.
